Finishing touches – the terrace

We are so pleased to show off the amazing work volunteers Francis and Jacqui Suckling put in building the terrace and ramp to the entrance of the barn.

And boy was it hot work with temperatures soaring as the front of the barn does catch the sun. Constructed with slip-free wood, safety wire and railings to stop dogs from falling off , with a coat of wood stain it is now ready for use. 

With a parasol and enough space for a seat or two, not only is this a lovely spot for the dogs to relax on but also for a human to sit and contemplate while spending time with residents.
